A Night of Maximalism: The Most Exaggerated Fashion Statements at the 95th Annual Oscars

The 95th annual Oscars brought out the brightest and most talented stars, all dressed to the nines in stunning ensembles. In a departure from tradition, the academy opted for bold and exaggerated style statements at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, starting with a chic champagne-hued carpet that added a touch of sophistication to the occasion. It was a night of maximalism, with celebrities embracing bright colours, flamboyant silhouettes, and eye-catching embellishments. Hosted by the witty comedian Jimmy Kimmel, the ceremony celebrated the best performances in films.

Among the most notable nominees were Elvis, Tár, Everything Everywhere All at Once, and The Fabelmans, all vying for the prestigious Best Picture award.

Meanwhile, the Best Actress category boasted a lineup of talented performers, including the likes of Cate Blanchett, Ana de Armas, Andrea Riseborough, Michelle Williams, and Michelle Yeoh, while Austin Butler, Colin Farrell, Brendan Fraser, Paul Mescal, and Bill Nighy competed for Best Actor.

As expected, the fashion choices were a sight to behold with show-stopping looks for a dramatic entrance.

From striking silhouettes to intricate embellishments, here are some of our top picks for the best-dressed celebrities at the 95th Annual Oscars.
