Rihanna’s star power is undeniable. From her electrifying Super Bowl performance to the cover of British Vogue with A$AP Rocky and her newborn son, she’s been the talk of the town. And now, the megastar is back on the front pages once again. This time, she’s announced her return for another collaboration with German sporting giant, Puma: the Fenty x Puma Collection.
The Return of a Collaborative Force
In 2014, Rihanna became the Creative Director of PUMA Womenswear. A year later, she released the Fenty x Puma collection. The collection redefined athleisure and showcased Rihanna’s personal touch. More details aren’t yet available at this time, but some of the notable pieces from the last collection such as the Fenty x Puma Trainer, R698 and the Fenty x Puma Creeper featuring a chunky platform sole will likely make a comeback. According to unconfirmed sources, the new collection may hit stores in the second half of 2023.
The Fenty Empire
During her tenure, she released exclusive sneakers and ready-to-wear lines and staged several fashion shows. In 2017, she launched her cosmetics brand, Fenty Beauty. It was followed by Fenty Skin, Fenty Skin, and Savage X Fenty, an inclusive underwear and apparel line. In 2019, Rihanna launched Fenty Fashion, a luxury fashion line through LVMH. With the success of her businesses, the award-winning star became a billionaire in 2021.
However, the brand was put on hold in 2021. During this time, she took a hiatus from music and did not release any new songs until 2022, which she did for the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack. The superstar, who recently headlined the Super Bowl halftime show, said she is working on new music and hopes to release a new album this year. She had a child with boyfriend A$AP Rocky in May and revealed during her halftime show that she is pregnant with her second.
According to Forbes, Rihanna is worth $1.4 billion, largely due to the success of her cosmetics and lingerie brands.
